Dero digitata - Head

DIC image of the head of a fixed individual of Dero digitata. The sagital focal plane in this lateral view shows the mouth, buccal cavity, pharynx and esophagus, the anteriodorsally located brain, and the hollow, cone-shaped prostomium. This individual is a recent fission product, judging from the relatively small size of the head.
